Awana
FUN at DBC on Wednesday evenings - 6:30!
Kid’s Ministry at DBC on Wednesday evenings is FUN… and we spell it A.W.A.N.A. (“Approved Workmen are Not Ashamed” – 2 Timothy 2:15)! While kids are having fun playing great games and making new friends, they’re growing spiritually and learning about God, too! Awana is open to kids ages three years through fifth grade.
| WEDNESDAYS | 6:30 - 8:00 P.M. | SEPTEMBER 21, 2011 - MAY 16, 2012 |
Kids have an Awana handbook that guides them through God’s Word. Through memorizing Bible verses and learning spiritual truths, they expand their minds and hearts. Kids build relationships with trained Awana Leaders that are investing time and love. Awana is a fun way to build our kids into spiritual champions!
- Cubbies is for Preschoolers, ages three–five years
- Sparks is for Kindergarten–second grade
- T&T (Truth and Training) is for kids in third–fifth grade
Each Awana club is age-appropriate and teaches kids that God is real, that He loves us very much and sent His Son, Jesus Christ. We talk about how God helps us in our daily lives and hears our prayers. We learn that God’s Word is relevant to everyday life and that hiding God’s word in our hearts is powerful.
The goal of Awana is to give kids the chance to know, love and serve God!
