God Follows Extravagantly

That God would follow His Son and focus on Him the way He did is nothingless than the most extravagant demonstration of love/Christmas imaginable.
1. God followed and exalted His Son in His birth
• The angels
• The shepherds
• The magi
• Simeon
• Anna
2. God followed and exalted His Son through His life
• Matt 3.17 – His baptism
• Matt 17.5 – His transfiguration
• John 12.28 – His coming death
3. God followed and exalted His Son in His death and resurrection (Philippians 2.8-11).
4. The Father follows us because He loves us (Hebrews 13.5), and He gives us the Holy Spirit (John 14.23).
5. Jesus follows us with His prayer (Hebrews 7.25) and the Father and the Son follow us day by day through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit (John 14.23; 16.13-15).
So what?
Do we follow each other and those He gives to us to follow and encourage?
